Sylvan Loegering considers himself a farm boy although he left the farm over 65 years ago.

 

A Big Challenge for a Little Brother is his way of sharing real-life experiences on a small family farm during the 1940s and 1950s. He is grateful for his life on the farm, a religious upbringing, and great role models in the community.

—Virginia Vaplon Goerger was born in 1940 and raised on a farm in North Dakota. She was instrumental in preserving and restoring the Bagg Bonanza Farm Historical Site at Mooreton, North Dakota and has been a tour guide there for over 30 years. She is a professional photographer and historian who has lived and worked with the history of farm life. She has published several historical books about farming in the 20th century.
